Checking in.

I went on to raise many show quality birds after moving back to the family farm. Unbelievably that was ten years ago already. My peak was a few years ago at 200 birds. This winter however I decided to take a brake from chickens and I sold the last of my birds last fall.

I joined a few clubs in the beginning and met a lot of great people. I enjoyed the hobby greatly. Gracie the Cochin bantam went on to have a lot of chicks and her own family line of pure Cochin chicks. She died in my lap on mother's day at a very old age. Cochins became my favorite breed and I ventured into different colours. Chico the rooster also added to my silky line but I sold him because he remained grumpy. To this day people come up to me and tell me they have descendants of my stock, which feels good to know.
